First launching way back in 1991, the Air Max BW was designed as part of the Nike International series, and was the next Air Max model to drop after the Air Max III (now fondly referred to as the Air Max 90).

If you’re wondering what the ‘BW’ is all about, check out the heel unit. Aiming for maximum Air, Nike lengthened the bubble, making a ‘Big Window’ to the sole. One of the design’s most defining features, the BW is an instantly recognisable silhouette that’s a firm favourite with sneakerheads.

Stripping things back, the BW Ultra applies Nike’s tried and tested tech for an even lighter Air experience. Replacing stitched leather with thermo-welded panels, the upper is thinner, lighter and even more breathable.
