Introducing the latest silhouette to be added to our Footasylum raffle - the Air Jordan 1 Low Shadow Toe.
The classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette has been given a monochrome refresh to create an easy to style Jordan 1 that will look on-point whatever the season.
Combining a mix of classic black, white and grey Jordan hues, the AJ1 Shadow Toe features white leather side panels, providing the perfect backdrop for the bold black overlays and Swoosh.
A Light Smoke Grey toe box, collar and heel effortlessly pull together this monochrome iteration of a 1985 icon.
Signature Air Jordan 1 branding, including the Jumpman and Air Jordan Wings motif, sits on the tongue and heel tab putting the finishing touches to the silhouette.
The raffle closes at 8am on Friday 20th May so make sure you enter if you want to cop.
Designed by Nike legend Peter Moore and famously worn by Michael Jordan, the Air Jordan 1 is the one that started it all.
Arriving in 1985 and retailing for $65 the Air Jordan 1 was the most expensive basketball shoe on the market. The first AJ 1 was released in a red and black colourway to match Jordan’s team colours of the Chicago Bulls.
Michael Jordan hit the courts in the famous OG colourway, but they were banned by David Stern of the NBA as there wasn’t enough white featured in the design.
Despite the ban, Jordan continued to wear the Air Jordan 1 for each game, resulting in a $5000 fine every time, with Nike happily picking up the bill. They ran a campaign for the shoes that claimed they were so great that they were illegal, and gave an unfair advantage to the wearer.
Fast forward to 2022 and the Air Jordan 1 is essential in every rotation, whether it's the OG Jordan 1 Chicago or this Air Jordan 1 Shadow Toe there's a colourway for everyone.
