At first glance, it’s not immediately obvious why these two silhouettes belong together. Always looking for new ways to innovate, Nike devised a method of reducing the pressure of the air units without compromising stability. The result was Nikes most comfortable runner to date, and the next step in the company’s cushioning innovation.
Fast-forward 19 years and the VaporMax shook things up again, delivering the standout silhouette of 2017. Stripping back all unnecessary structural elements, visually the VaporMax sole unit is a radical departure from previous Air Max models. The result is the lightest, most flexible and most comfortable Air cushioning ever.
