Watch the trailer for a new kind of zombie film: 'The Girl With All The Gifts'
New zombie thriller, The Girl With All The Gifts looks pretty standard at first glance. Set in a dystopian future, a disease has turned most of the world into flesh-hungry monsters. So far, so Walking Dead.
But in this case, there's still hope for the human race. Focussing on an army detention centre, a special group of children are being detained and experimented on. These kids are unique for one important reason: they have been infected with the zombie pathogen, but are still more or less normal in how they act and think.
The children still crave human flesh, but their control over it means they could be a source for a cure. One girl, Melanie, stands apart from the rest. She's the most human of them all, even though she's infected.
When the base falls after a zombie attack, Melanie and her teacher, Miss Justineau, escape with the help of Dr. Caldwell (the facility's head scientist) and Sgt. Parks. Struggling to survive in the wild, they have to keep Melanie alive if they're ever going to find a cure.
