Who’d have thought two YouTubers would sell out the Copperbox Arena this time last year.

In February, KSI vs Joe Weller brought amateur boxing to a brand new audience, with the combined subscriber count of their main YouTube accounts surpassing 22 million. The fight shifted over 8000 tickets with the live stream amassing over 17 million views; it proved YouTube is fertile ground for high-profile sporting events. Joe Weller may have been KSI’s first opponent, but the contest drummed up world-title viewing figures.

KSI’s stoppage victory has sparked what has the potential to be a long-running series. His next fight has been agreed with fellow Internet megastar Logan Paul, an announcement that has whipped both sets of fans into a frenzy. Slated for the 25th August at the Manchester Arena, KSI has upped his training regime to be in the best possible shape for what is looking like another record-breaking night of YouTube boxing.

Linking up with Footasylum athlete and WBO Intercontinental Light Heavyweight champion Anthony Yarde at the Peacock gym in East London, KSI got to work on the pads before sparring with ‘The Beast’ in preparation for his matchup in August.
