Set for a global release on March 1, the adidas Originals Iniki Boost drop is almost here.
Equally modern and classic in its look, the Iniki runner draws from iconic adidas designs which, paired with a brand-new silhouette, creates a fresh aesthetic with a retro twist.
After previously teasing fans, adidas officially unveiled the silhouette last week, with sneakerheads across the globe quick to notice where the Runner’s design inspiration came from.
Taking elements from 1970s running culture, the Iniki features the universally known three stripe design with a serrated edge, reminiscent of the adidas Gazelle, in a massive nod to the brand's heritage.
Featuring both suede and mesh on the upper, the Runner is made using the same materials that first defined adidas’ running sneakers decades ago, and showcases a gum sole that further adds to the nostalgic feel of the shoe.
With a sock fit and Boost midsole, the Iniki combines the best in fit and comfort, and adds a nostalgic touch to an advanced silhouette.
The adidas Originals Iniki Runner officially launches at Footasylum this Wednesday (01/03/17), make sure to cop yours from 8AM GMT.
