Vans Old Skool
Trends have come and gone over the years. We’ve seen chunky silhouettes, barely-there trainers and kicks so bright you shouldn’t look directly at them. But throughout all these blink-and-you’d-miss-them fashions, there’s one sneaker that’s stood the test of time. We are, of course, talking about the institution that is the Vans Old Skool.
First conceptualised as a doodle by Paul Van Doren, the Old Skool trainer has remained largely unchanged since it debuted as “Style 36” back in 1977. With an upper crafted from canvas and suede, the Vans Old Skool is more durable than its predecessors, and with its instantly-recognisable side swipe, there’s no way you could mistake it for anything else.
The iconic Old Skool Black and White Vans need no introduction - they’ve donned the feet of everyone from skate stars to rock legends and show no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Want to take it back even further? Go for a Mixed Check Sneaker for the ultimate skater shoe.
