What a game! The Sidemen Charity Match kicked off on Saturday 8th March, and as the official sponsor for the record-breaking event down at Wembley stadium, we’ve got all the inside scoop as we look back on a day of goals, chaos and all the memes!

Sidemen Charity Match Scores Over £4.7 MILLION!

We’re Going to Wembley

Sidemen FC took to the pitch once again for their sixth showing in a YouTube charity football match. With over 5 million views in the build-up across Footasylum channels, the hype for this game was through the roof!

Miniminter took charge as captain of the Sidemen’s squad whilst streaming superstar iShowSpeed got to wear the armband for the YouTube Allstars.

The scope for this year’s game dwarfed previous Sidemen Charity Matches, moving from West Ham’s London Stadium back in 2023 to the iconic Wembley Stadium for this weekend, selling out the whole place in just under three hours - Mind blowing stuff.

With online megastars such as Logan Paul and MrBeast making appearances and an explosive half-time show headlined by Ladbroke Grove’s very own AJ Tracey, this match of end-to-end action left little to be desired. Some even claim that this was "the best game in Sidemen charity match history".

Millions Raised by Millions Watching

The 2025 Sidemen Charity Match blew previous records out the water. Selling out Wembley Stadium to 90,000 fans and with over 8 million viewers online, the game raised a whopping £4,733,004 for charities! These charities include BBC’s Children in Need, Bright Side, a fundraising charity for organisations supporting equal opportunities and M7, an educational charity.

Events like the Sidemen Charity Football Match aren’t just a football game, they’re a cultural phenomenon that unites fans, creators and football lovers from all over the globe. They drive a real-world impact whilst delivering quality entertainment, showcasing the power that digital creators have in the era of influencers.

Line-ups

For the 2025 clash, Sidemen FC - led by KSI, Simon ‘Miniminter’ Minter and Tobi ‘TBJZL’ Brown - featured some unexpected new faces within the squad. The likes of WWE superstar Logan Paul and Joe Weller were welcome surprises, having both faced KSI in the ring in recent years, but this wasn’t enough for Sidemen FC to see silverware.

At the other end of the pitch YouTube Allstars united some of the biggest faces in streaming, including iShowSpeed, MrBeast, Kai Cenat & Chunkz. The revised squad brought a fresh blend of talent and entertainment along with some fresh legs to help them see a 5-4 victory over The Sidemen in a penalty shootout.

Kick off

Sidemen FC were the clear favourites going into the match, with over 65% of viewers confident they’d be crowned champions. Once the match kicked off however, it was anyone’s game. Both teams were neck and neck for the full 90, sharing exactly 50% possession each and the Sidemen only getting one more shot on target than the Allstars.

Despite Joe Weller starting the scoring off in the 7th minute from the penalty spot, the Allstars turned out to be the bigger threat towards goal throughout the match. Boasting an xG of 8.10 by the end and creating 13 big chances in the game. They offered more on the attack than SDMN managed to pull off - with a 5.24 xG and less than half as many big chances created with only 6.

Miniminter, Zerkaa, Behzinga and TBJZL all managed to get on the scoresheet, proving why the Sidemen are a force to be reckoned with on the pitch. xQc also started off quite strong in goal, however this was short lived after conceding an own goal and making several blunders that ultimately put the team on the backfoot. The Canadian streamer appeared to have suffered a minor blow to his wrist towards the final whistle, which may have contributed to the Sidemen’s downfall in pens.

ChrisMD got the Allstars on the scoreboard to start, beautifully curving a free kick over xQc’s path and tucking it in the left corner from 35 yards out. AngryGinge, Chunkz and Speed all managed to get one in the back of the net for the Allstars, but it was Man of the Match Theo Baker who smashed them to victory with his world class hattrick!

It was Speed’s penalty in the shootout that really got the crowd to their feet - A sea of 90,000 fans chanting the infamous “SIUUU” in celebration after sliding the ball between xQc’s feet to crown the Allstars as champions. Sketch saving the first penalty, taken by Simon, is what ultimately lead the Allstars to victory and got the keeper named as the man of the match.

Match Highlights

Logan Paul performed his signature WWE Suplex on Joe Weller to celebrate the opening goal

Sketch saving Miniminters penalty in the shootout defied all the odds. Despite a shaky performance, Sketch won the hearts of Wembley Stadium with this save.

AJ Tracey and KSI's half-time show was a spectacle not to be missed - despite KSI's blunder approaching the stage.
