Sum up Eastern Electrics Festival in 3 words?
Vibes & Energy
What’s the last played song on your phone?
Jme - Deadout (I listen to oldschool grime mostly)
If you could some up your sound in a three words, what would they be?
Exciting, Clever, Clarity
Where would you like to be five years from now?
A place called Bora Bora, St Regis lol. Apart from that, running my own label with a female grime MC and a few producers signed to it.
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
I don't know maybe the fact I have hair under my hat which people never ever get to see. They all assume I'm bald or have some crazy throwback hairline when I DON'T.
Is it important to you to be influential and to inspire the next generation?
It never used to be, but since having a son I understand our responsibilities and just how much influence we have on the world. I also think it’s important especially for the grime scene because if we don't, there won't be one in the future.
What does success look like to you?
Success to me is hitting yours goals. Some people are happy in life because they achieved everything they wanted to. I think people confuse success with money nowadays as in if someone has/makes more than you they're more successful but to me that's a dead way of thinking and doesn't allow us to appreciate what we have.
What fuels your creativity?
Making sure my son has whatever he wants and foods on the table and the bills are paid. Nah apart from that I genuinely want my scene to really become a worldwide genre and be recognised as its own genre. I want us all to be respected as artists. I'd love to see that before my time is up.
Who or what is your greatest musical inspiration?
Dizzee & Wiley. I always wanted to be as big or as good as them.
Most memorable moment of your career so far?
Touring China!!!!
What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned about yourself as an artist since starting out?
I can slyly sing lol. And as much as I was trouble in school, I did listen, cause the lyrics I come up with are all from the mind with words I've learned in class.
Thanks P Money.
