It’s all kicked off at San Diego Comic Con 2016, and the Marvel/Netflix team have started things with a bang by revealing the very first trailer to the upcoming Luke Cage series.

Appearing on screens last year as a major character in Netflix’s Jessica Jones series, Luke Cage has been a Marvel superhero since 1972. The hard man of Harlem, he’s blessed with super strength and impenetrable skin thanks to an experiment gone wrong. According to the trailer, he’s also pretty handy with a car door.

Featuring the type of corridor fight scene that Marvel/Netflix are famous for (Daredevil fans know what we’re talking about), we’re hyped as hell for 30th September:

As if we weren’t excited enough, Netflix also treated us to a sizzle reel teasing Daredevil season three, Jessica Jones season two and the very first seasons of Iron Fist and Punisher.

And it doesn’t stop there. In 2017, Daredevil, JJ, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will all team up for a combo series, The Defenders (like The Avengers, but without the government funding).

We’ll stop talking so you can check it out for yourself:

Keep it locked to The Lowdown for more badassery from SDCC 2016 as it happens.
