One of Nike's most popular silhouettes, the Air Huarache was born in 1991, inspired by foot-hugging ski boots and a Mexican sandal with the same name. Different to Nike's other offerings at the time, the Air Huarache ignored the conventions of traditional running trainers and explored something new. 

Advertised with the slogan "Have you hugged your feet today?" the Huarache was known for its snug neoprene fit. The brand new Air Huarache Ultra was created with the design philosophy that "less is more". Keeping a lot of the original features of the Air Huarache - including the logo and heel stabiliser - the Ultra has a slimmed down upper and reduced outsole, providing the wearer with a lighter ride. 

The Nike Air Huarache Ultra drops 1st of February 2016 at 8am online and in selected Footasylum stores.
