Making its debut in 1992 at the Barcelona Olympic games, the Air Jordan 7 Retro became a legend when it helped the USA basketball team win the championship.
Made up of some of the world’s top athletes, the team also consisted of one iconic player in particular, the man behind the Jumpman, Michael Jordan.
At the time his Airness wore a pair of Air Jordan 7s in an Olympic themed colourway, but there was also an ‘alternate’ colourway sketched by Tinker Hatfield. From those initial drawings a new sneaker has been brought to life in the form of the Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘Alternate’.
Taken from the originals, the sneaker has been decorated in team USA colours, with red, white and blue accents on the upper, sides and soles. A mini American flag sits on the back of the shoe with Jordan’s Olympic number, nine.
To commemorate the team’s win, gold accents have been added to the Jumpman, branding and lace tips.
Available in both Men's and Kid's sizes, this drop will land in store and online on 13/08/16 at 08:00 BST at Footasylum. Get your pair of Air Jordan 7 Retro Alternate and cop a piece of Jordan history.
