All the 80’s tennis vibes you’ll need this summer, the adidas Originals Continental 80 is a classic style that most will recognise as Yeezy Powerphase-esque.  While the Powerphase divided hypebeasts for being a little too Reebok-y, the Continental 80 is the rebirth of an archive model – with all the authentic retro appeal that goes with it.

The tennis silhouette offers a clean understated style, but has more nostalgic charm than its ubiquitous tennis cousin the Stan Smith thanks to the logo window to the lace guard and the dual coloured stripe to the side of the shoe. The overall silhouette has a more Reebok Workout vibe than adi’s other retro tennis offerings, but it’s a look that is bang on trend for summer 2018.

Constructed from tumbled leather both black and white colourways feature a thin navy and red stripe scooping across the sidewall, with perforations underneath and to the toebox.

The leather itself feels more durable than the thin, buttery hide used in the Powerphase, which is a huge positive given the versatility of the launch colourways. The soft EVA midsole and split cupsole offer flexibility, with a terry cloth lining adding to the comfort – and at £75, for our money the adidas Originals Continental 80 is the perfect everyday summer shoe.

Whether you keep them crisp and pristine or beat the hell out of them – the White is a must-cop.
