COVID Safe Productions

Like everyone around the world, we understand that on the forefront of your mind will be the ever-changing situation of ‘COVID-19’. We have spent hours, days, weeks researching & speaking with
leading scientists & testing facilities around the UK to ensure that we are taking strict precautions to look after the health & safety of the Talent & Crew on this production. Wearing a mask & sanitising our hands is fast becoming a normal feature of daily life. As lovely as a sense of normality is; with it comes complacency.

Complacency is the biggest danger. We are reaching out to you to take extra steps to stay safe. When living & working closely with others we each have a responsibility to take the measures as recommended by the Government. They are changing constantly so it is paramount that we keep up to date to the guidelines in our areas. https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

We have a dedicated & qualified COVID Supervisor onset & remotely available at Claire@cowshedsocial.com for any questions or concerns.

How can YOU help ensure that you & your team stay safe?
• If you haven’t already, please download & use the NHS App. Test & Trace and use it as much as possible. https://covid19.nhs.uk
• Always wear a mask over your mouth & nose when you leave your home.
• Social distancing! Stay 2 meters away & tell others to back off if they don’t adhere!
• Wash your hands as much as possible
• Try to avoid touching your face
• Try to avoid public transport
• Try to avoid touching anything when you go out. Door handles, rails, switches, locks, taps etc. Use a tissue or cloth instead of directly touching with your hands. Gloves are NOT the answer unless you are changing them regularly. Hand washing is safer. Sanitising with alcohol gels if you cannot find washing facilities will help but does not replace washing properly with soap & water.
• Drying your hands is also of high importance. Damp skin breeds bacteria!
• Sanitise personal items such as Phones, Pens, Laptops, Glasses! How often do you touch your phone!?
• Avoid going out or inviting people in if you can. Everyone you encounter has potentially come into contact with multiply people that day. We really don’t know who is carrying the virus whether they are symptomatic or not. Assume everyone has it and stay 2 meters away!

What do I need to do prior to the production? You will be sent details shortly of the procedure that we will be following. Everyone working on or appearing in this production will have an appointment booked to attend a COVID-19 test. Our policy is that a negative result is required in order to proceed with ‘Locked in’.

Our COVID safe Shooting guidelines are available to you & will be on set. Following that, we will continue to check & monitor temperatures daily, along with following sanitising measures. All Talent and crew have a responsibility to report to the COVID Supervisor if they feel unwell or are worried that they or someone else may have symptoms. We also have a Medic on location 24 hours a day. During production, Housemates will be in a ‘Safe Bubble’ inside the house. The Crew will also be in a safe bubble and will be located locally. There will be minimal interaction between Housemates & Crew. Crew required to enter the ‘Locked in’ house will be restricted to ‘Games set up’ & ‘Technical requirements’ Only. Crew entering the house will wear full PPE. The ‘Locked in’ house will be fully deep cleaned & sanitised prior to Housemate entrance. Any items being brought into the house for challenges or otherwise will be sanitised to ensure safety.
