Set your alarms and get ready to cop the Nike Dunk Low UNLV or Dunk High Vast Grey to upgrade your rotation.
Created for the hardwood but taken to the streets, both the Nike Dunk Low UNLV and Dunk High Vast Grey are a must-have for 2021. Designed using easy to break in premium leather in the upper to create the perfect sheen and a modern foam midsole which offers lightweight and responsive cushioning.
Bold colour blocking throws it back to the 80s with a nod to the original colourways from the “Be True To Your School” Pack.
Originally launched in 1985 the Nike Dunk, originally dubbed the College Color High, was designed by Peter Moore for wear on the basketball courts and was quickly adopted by basketballers as the shoe of the era.
The original inspiration for the look of the Dunk came from the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1, Nike Terminator and Nike Legend.
With college basketball gaining attention in the 1980s and appearing more and more on television, Nike created a campaign around its Nike College Colors program.
The original colourways from the “Be True To Your School” Pack were inspired by twelve universities known for their NCAA division one basketball programs, including the University of Michigan, UNLV, St. John’s, University of Kentucky, and more, which meant all of the universities had their team colours translated onto the silhouette.
Through the 80s and 90s, the silhouette became a popular choice off the courts especially with skaters thanks to it's flat sole and heavily-durable and well-padded uppers.
This was embraced by Nike in 2002 when the Dunk was one of the first silhouettes to receive the SB treatment and was adapted to solely suit the needs of skateboarders.
From the first collaboration in 2001 with the Stüssy x Nike Dunk the shoe has seen collaborations with Virgil Abloh, Supreme, Travis Scott and Ben and Jerry's with no signs of slowing down.

Now Nike is bringing 1985 back with the 1980s by releasing the Nike Dunk Low UNLV or Dunk High Vast Grey from the archives.
