Every year the ZX franchise is celebrated as one of adidas Originals’ most technical endeavours. Starting life as a running sneaker, comfort and practicality in the ZX has always been at the forefront of its design. But this year, the ZX range becomes adidas’ experimental playground, seeing them push comfort to new heights.
Launching at Footasylum today, adidas present their addition to the ZX franchise, the ZX 2K Boost. We take a look at how the new season's ZX sneaker is a step up in design and technical innovation.
In the dynamic new model, the technical ZX body meets adidas’ famed Boost sole, in what some would say a design fusion waiting to happen. The combination of white foam sole on top of the ZX frame unites two systems designed for withstanding extensive performance.
The body of the new ZX 2K Boost is made up of a form-hugging mesh upper, for extended breathability. The tongue-free sneaker allows for an overall tighter fit and support around the ankle during vigorous movement. Panels on the side of the toe box give the sneaker a clean and narrow shape. In 4 different colourways; a core all-black and all-white, along with 2 legacy blue and frozen pink sneakers.

The ZX 2K Boost will be stocked in men’s and kids’ sizes, and available to buy in-store and online today. Learn more about the life of the ZX on the Lowdown.
