Something is brewing beneath Footasylum on Oxford Street. Last night, on February 12th, the lights came down and the cameras came out for something big. We hosted an exclusive preview of ‘The Basement’ – our brand-new creative space in London – built in partnership with Jordan Brand.
This isn’t just another store upgrade. This is a whole new way of bringing culture, creativity and community into one place. And ahead of the public opening on Saturday 14th February, we invited some of the UK’s biggest internet personalities to come through, test the space and set the tone.

The Basement lives below our Oxford Street flagship store, but it’s designed to take ideas, talent and creativity to the next level. This is a space made for young creators who want more than just somewhere to shop.
From the start, the vision has been simple: build something with the community, not just for it. Somewhere you can turn up, feel welcome, and actually do something meaningful - whether that’s recording, designing, networking or simply learning something new.
This is Footasylum doing what it’s always done best: opening doors, backing talent and giving the next wave a platform to grow.
At its core, The Basement is about bringing people together. Music, fashion, sport, social media, podcasting, design - it all crosses over here. You’ll see creators linking up on new projects, DJs testing out sets, podcasters recording episodes and designers sketching ideas in real time. This is where content gets made, long-lasting friendships get built and unique opportunities start arising.
This isn’t about flexing fancy equipment. It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable enough to try, fail, learn, try again and level up.

The opening of The Basement lines up with something special - the return of theAir Jordan 6 Infrared Pack.
This iconic silhouette is back in a big way, and it’s only right that it launches alongside a space built on legacy, creativity and progression.
The Air Jordan 6 Infrared Pack drops in-store on Saturday 14th February 2026, the same day The Basement opens to the public.
You’ll find:
Expect queues. Expect demand. Expect one of the cleanest retro returns of the year. If you’re serious about securing your pair, your best move is heading down to Oxford Street early. Doors open at 9am, and with the hype around this release, they won’t sit for long.
Pairing this launch with The Basement is no accident. Jordan Brand’s legacy is rooted in culture, creativity and community - the same foundations this space is built on.

Before the doors officially open on February 14th, we brought together a premium guest list of influencers and social media stars to give The Basement its first real tryout. This event wasn’t about big speeches or staged viral moments. It was about letting the space breathe and watching it come alive with the people who’d know it best.
Highlights
We brought some of the biggest voices in UK internet culture to see what The Basement was all about, including:
From TikTok shoots to live conversations and fun challenges, the vibe was exactly what The Basement is about - creative freedom, genuine connection and positive energy.
The whole layout has been designed with creators in mind. Flexible zones. Recording-ready setups. Collaborative seating. Areas where ideas can move freely and quickly. Nothing feels stiff or corporate. It’s relaxed, functional and adaptable – so the space can evolve with the people using it. It grows as the culture grows.
The Basement isn’t just a new venture, it represents a real shift for us. It’s Footasylum moving beyond retail and deeper into the culture. This is about investing in people. In ideas. In the future of creativity in the UK. Whether you’re into music, fashion, sport, design, media or content, this is a place where your voice matters and talent doesn’t go unnoticed.
