What is Eid?
A religious day of celebration. Muslim communities celebrate family and food at the end of Ramadan. Best clothes are usually worn and typically (although not this year due to lockdown) communities gather for structured prayers and greet each other with "Eid Mubarak" which means blessed celebration.
When is Eid 2020?
The festival of Eid al-Fitr starts at sunset on the last night of the Islamic month of fasting- Ramadan. This year Eid falls on Sunday 24th May, the date of Eid is the same every year according to the Islamic calendar and the date changes according to the Gregorian calendar so Eid 2021 will fall on Thursday 13th May.
