Kickers was founded by Daniel Raufast in 1968 who wanted to explore the concept of a shoe that was designed for blue-jeans. Introducing tough crepe soles, contrast stitching, panels and appliqués referencing denim, the shoes were an immediate success and by 1974 the brand were trading in over 70 countries.
